ioSeal® Technology: Ionic Resin-Bonding Protection for Quartz & Composite Sinks
ioSeal® is an ionic resin-bonding sealer designed for engineered quartz, composite sinks, and dense natural stone. Available through Supreme Surface® GUARD, it helps Clean, Beautify & Protect while improving surface smoothness, performance, and ease of maintenance. ioSeal® can also complement properly sealed or enhanced porous natural stone. GUARD with ioSeal®Quartz Care Master GuideThe Quartz Paradox: Non-Porous ≠ Stain-Proof
Engineered quartz combines mineral particles with resin binders. Although its dense surface resists many stains, it is not immune to bonded residues, mineral deposits, fingerprints, or changes in surface appearance. Traditional penetrating stone sealers are generally unsuitable for resin-rich quartz because they rely on absorption into porous minerals. Protecting engineered quartz requires understanding both its mineral and resin components.
Ionic Resin-Bonding Technology
Unlike conventional penetrating sealers that rely primarily on porous mineral surfaces, ioSeal® is designed to interact with both mineral and resin-rich surfaces through ionic resin-bonding technology. It fills microscopic voids and self-levels to help create a smoother, more protective surface without relying on a conventional topical film or wax. Protection can progressively improve with repeated applications.
Micro-Smooth & Friction-Resistant
By filling microscopic voids and progressively smoothing the surface, ioSeal® helps reduce friction and improve surface performance. This can make fingerprints, mineral residues, and everyday contamination easier to remove while improving clarity, reflectivity, and the feel of the finish. Through Supreme Surface® GUARD, ioSeal® helps deliver a smoother, more protective surface that is easier to clean and maintain without relying on conventional waxes or topical films.
“I spent 25 years working with customers seeing quartz not meet customers expectations. We developed ioSeal® to protect the resin binder and simplify surface care.”
How ioSeal® Differs from Conventional Stone Sealers and Surface Coatings
Engineered quartz combines mineral particles with resin binders, creating a dense surface with different protection requirements than porous natural stone. Understanding how conventional penetrating sealers, topical coatings, and ioSeal® technology interact with these surfaces helps explain the differences in protection, appearance, and ongoing maintenance.| Feature | Supreme Surface® with ioSeal® | Conventional Stone Sealers & Surface Coatings |
|---|---|---|
| Surface Compatibility | Designed to interact with mineral and resin-rich surfaces, including engineered quartz, composite sinks, and dense natural granite. Also suitable for appropriately sealed or enhanced porous natural stone. | Traditional penetrating sealers generally rely on absorption into porous mineral surfaces. Coating compatibility varies by formulation and substrate. |
| Protection Technology | Ionic resin-bonding technology helps fill microscopic voids and improve surface protection without relying on a conventional topical film or wax. | Penetrating sealers primarily protect within accessible pores. Topical coatings form a protective layer at the surface. |
| Application & Maintenance | Applied through Supreme Surface® GUARD to Clean, Beautify & Protect with ioSeal®, improving surface performance and ease of maintenance. Protection can progressively improve with repeated applications. | Many require a separate application process. Reapplication and maintenance depend on the product and surface conditions. |
| Matte & Suede Finishes | Helps smooth microscopic surface irregularities and makes fingerprints and everyday residues easier to remove, while respecting the existing finish. | Some formulations may change surface appearance or leave visible residue. Suitability should be verified for the specific finish. |
| Surface Performance | Helps improve smoothness, clarity, reflectivity, and ease of maintenance by reducing opportunities for contamination to cling to the surface. | Performance depends on the coating chemistry, surface compatibility, application method, and maintenance requirements. |
GUARD: Clean, Beautify & Protect Countertops, Composite Sinks & More
Is Your Sink Stained or Damaged? End the White Haze Cycle.
White haze on a granite composite sink isn’t always dirt or common sink grime. Mineral deposits, bonded contamination, chemical exposure, and abrasive wear can produce similar symptoms, but they require different corrective approaches. Aggressive scrubbing may make an already damaged finish worse. Understanding the cause is the first step toward restoring the sink properly.
3-Step Composite Sink Restoration: RESET → HEAL → GUARD ✅
Remove bonded contamination with RESET, restore and revive the finish with HEAL, then protect and simplify ongoing maintenance with GUARD.
GUARD: Clean, Beautify & Protect with ioSeal®
Supreme Surface® GUARD combines everyday cleaning with ioSeal® resin-bonding protection to help improve surface appearance, smoothness, and ease of maintenance. Designed for quartz countertops, granite, marble, composite sinks, and other compatible surfaces.
Clean, Beautify & Protect
GUARD combines pH-neutral everyday cleaning with ioSeal® resin-bonding protection in one convenient spray. Helps remove everyday grime and residue while improving surface appearance, smoothness, and ease of maintenance.
Smoother Surfaces, Easier Care
ioSeal® helps fill microscopic surface irregularities, creating a smoother surface that is easier to maintain. Repeated applications help reduce opportunities for mineral deposits, fingerprints, and everyday contamination to cling to the finish.
Protection for Engineered Quartz
Engineered quartz contains mineral particles and resin binders. GUARD with ioSeal® is designed for these dense, resin-rich surfaces, helping improve clarity, cleanability, and ongoing protection without relying on a conventional topical coating or wax.
Natural Stone & Composite Sinks
GUARD helps maintain granite, marble, quartzite, and granite composite sinks. It supports easier cleaning and improved surface performance. Porous natural stone should be appropriately sealed before using GUARD as part of ongoing care.
Pro Tip: GUARD delivers ioSeal® protection during routine cleaning. Depending on the surface type and condition, apply for 3–10 days in a row initially, then weekly or more as needed. Protection can progressively improve with repeated applications.
